The songs sound great -Steve Lillywhite(U2)
Five Stars ***** Excellent - Music Review
Pity the rock band that hangs around for fame and fortune to be thrust upon their shoulders. These things may happen to Louth-based Eyeslave, but they seem the kind of band that prefer to take control of their destiny, go with the flow and take their chances . As we know, the world is a cruel place, but this album is so rooted in the right rock and roll moves it would be a pity if it didn't gain a foothold, let alone a leg-up on the international music ladder. There is no reinvention of the wheel here, no ground rules broken, but the quality and strength of the songs easily match the ambitions behind them. Eyeslave take as their template Foo Fighters, Feeder and other eminently granite-hard yet melodic rock bands; the result is a batch of accessible, credibly anthemic songs that ache for radio play and yearn for large venues.
Irish Times TONY CLAYTON-LEA
This is the debut album from Irish rockers eyeslave. In fact, they sound thoroughly American. Shane Kelly's vocals, particularly, feel like they were shipped in from the States - which is not necessairly a bad thing, as it serves to heighten the group's likeable sence of playfulness. They may be snappy, focused power metal, maitaining a high testosterone level at all times, but eyeslave still posses a charming undercurrent of wussy sensitivity
HOT PRESS
Their album is certainly unique, with a strong guitar sound and thought-provoking lyrics. anyone who is a fan of rock music with an edge is sure to enjoy Eyeslave's first album offering.
*** Drogheda Independant
This tune with it's catchy chorus and pulse driving guitar riffs, vocals has a poetic theme yet keeping the lyrics clear and make a lot of sense, throughout the song this tune is definitely the right song that Eyeslave have recorded and is a must for the cd rack
